Cool Work Stuff

Systems Test Engineer - Driving Behavior

Sr. Systems Application Engineer - Autonomous Driving

I worked on NIO Pilot, a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System features, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Lane Change (ALC), and NIO Pilot, an L2 highway assist feature.

I led the feature tuning and sign-off testing for Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning, which required frequent travel to Shanghai to optimize the feature performance and user experience of our features for the China market. AEB & FCW has been successfully deployed on over 100,000 vehicles across China and played an important role in achieving a 5-star safety rating for China NCAP.

Co-Founder

DonatePPE.org s a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide healthcare professionals and first responders around the world with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) they need to fight against COVID-19.

I launched DonatePPE.org in March 2020 right as when hospitals across the US were running out of PPE. I built a team of over 30 dedicated volunteers, together we launched a platform that connected hospitals that are in dire need of PPE to donors from their communities. We developed partnerships with corporations like Ford, Norwex, Flexport, and UPS to expand the scale of our operations. In total, we have raised over $170,000 and distributed over 4.5 million units of PPE across North America and Africa.

Product Development Engineer - ADAS

At Ford, I worked in the Vehicle Engineering team where I was responsible for verifying that our collision avoidance features work as intended before they reach the hands of our customers. At Ford, I created test procedures to utilize driving robots to improve testing repeatability and data quality. I led signoff testing and helped launched Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) across the Ford/Lincoln lineup.

About me

I’m interested in using technology and entrepreneurship to create social impact. One of the areas I am most passionate about is education. Education provides opportunities. For many people developing countries, it is still the only way to escape poverty.

I enjoy traveling and the outdoors. I’ve been climbing for about 7 years now, but somehow I’m still not very good at it. I also enjoy mountain biking, hiking up mountains, and all kinds of type 2 fun.

I like taking photos but I’m no photographer. Believe it or not most of these photos are from my cellphone (a Google Pixel, if you are wondering). This website is a collection of some of my favorite photos and stories, I hope you enjoy
